Celtics Edge Pacers In An Overtime Thriller

Celtics Edge Pacers in an Overtime Thriller

Tatum's 36 and Brown's Clutch Three Force Game 1 Victory

Boston Celtics 133, Indiana Pacers 128 (OT)

In a breathtaking battle that stretched into overtime, the Boston Celtics prevailed over the Indiana Pacers 133-128 in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference finals. Jayson Tatum led the charge for the Celtics with 36 points and 13 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown drained a clutch three-pointer to force overtime.

The Pacers, propelled by Tyrese Haliburton's 33 points, stormed out to an impressive 30-point lead in the first half. However, the Celtics rallied back with a vengeance, led by Tatum's scintillating shooting performance. Tatum hit 8 of 13 from beyond the arc, including a series of demoralizing threes that kept the Celtics within striking distance.

With just 2.9 seconds remaining on the clock and the Celtics trailing by one, Brown drained a game-tying three-pointer that sent the game into overtime. In the extra session, Tatum and Brown took control, combining for 13 points to seal the victory for Boston.

The Celtics have now taken a 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series and will look to build on their momentum in Game 2 on Thursday night. The Pacers, despite their valiant effort, will need to regroup and find a way to slow down Tatum and Brown if they want to even the series.
